Kale Margarita

With St. Patrick's day right around the corner and a need to satiate our kale cravings, we experimented with a few recipes. We made a delicious (and dare we say healthy?) green kale margarita. Chef Kelsey Henderson shows us how we can slip some greens into tequila to put a spin on an old favorite. Feel free to experiment by adding different citrus juices to your liking!

   Kale Margarita

- 1 ounce tequila
- 3 ounces kale juice
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1/2 ounce lime/lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce light agave nectar
- lime wedge to garnish

In a large shaker, combine the tequila, kale juice, grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave nectar. Measure your ice in the glass you intend to serve it in and pour that in your shaker. Shake vigorously for a several seconds and pour into your chosen glass – rim the glass with salt if you so choose. Garnish with lime wedge.
